2022 Residency Match Results
March each year brings Residency Match Day, and today, the 18th of March 2022 is a great pleasure to celebrate and congratulate our graduates on their success in the 2022 residency match. All Saints University School of Medicine, Dominica (ASUSM) graduates matched into first-year residency positions in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology, located at various medical centers and hospitals throughout the United States, including: California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York and Ohio. Through their hard work and determination, our students have shown the application and resilience required to reach this latest milestone on their journey to a career where they will continue to practice what they have learned and developed throughout their ASUSM experience; the science and art of medicine. We wish them all well.

Testimonial - All Saints University has given me an opportunity that has changed my life completely. I will never forget my first day in MD1 waiting for Histology class to start with Dr.Fakoya. Thinking to myself am I making the right decision here coming to Dominica to peruse a carrier in medicine, extremely out of my element far from home. None the less would I know that this decision would allow me to mature into the man I have become today. Married to medicine is a true analogy. The struggle is real. The moment you accept this is the moment you realize what it takes and it takes mostly everything from within to make it. I have never felt more accomplished in my life. And the best feeling in this world is overcoming all the obstacles. I will end my testimonial with a few quotes that I have come to understand through this journey from medical school to match. One, There is no success without failure. Two, Do your best and God will do the rest. Three, Medicine is and will always be a discussion.

"I truly appreciate and value my time at All Saints University School of Medicine Dominica. As a transfer student during the COVID pandemic, ASU smoothed my transition and welcomed me very warmly. The faculty and personnel at All Saints constantly provided me guidance and answered my questions promptly while also facilitating my clinical rotations to help develop me into a future physician. I am glad to have graduated and matched into a residency program from this university."

I am grateful to All Saints University, Dominica, for allowing me to chase my dreams of becoming a doctor at such a young age. I was presented with many opportunities that brought promising results. I am so glad to be part of the 82 International Medical graduates that matched into Obstetrics and Gynecology in the 2022 Match. It is unbelievable that I achieved this on the first try. I am incredibly grateful for the experiences I got here and how they shaped me into the person I am today. I genuinely hope that those coming after me can see the possibilities available here and be of good cheer.

I want to thank the teachers at All Saints University, who helped in getting me to where I’m at. It was not an easy road but their guidance and advice did come a long way. And to the registrar, Dr. Guzin Dincel, thank you for always being a listening ear and for advocating for me when I needed it. I appreciate you all for your work.

I am so thankful and grateful to all the professors from ASU specially Dr Marcelle, Dr Wisam, Dr Mishra, Dr DJ and many preceptors from Clinical Clerkship for imparting their clinical knowledge and skills to me and providing opportunity to achieve my impossible childhood dream of being a Physician. My training in medicine took many turns and it was not without moments of hardship, while my interest and effort were always in place, their constant guidance and support made a huge difference. Dr Guzin Dincel’s efficiency, prompt responses and operational support was extremely commendable. I am thrilled to have matched and looking forward towards this new adventure.
