Program Overview
- Accelerated Completion: The program can be completed in as little as under 3 years (2 years and 8 months)
- Accreditation: Fully approved by the General Nursing Council of Dominica, providing a pathway to NCLEX examinations in North America.
- Pathway to Medicine: Students completing the BSN program may be eligible to transfer into the 4-Year or 5-Year MD Program at All Saints University upon completion of all prerequisite courses
- NCLEX Eligibility: Graduates may pursue licensure and practice as registered nurses in North America.
Applicants must possess a high school/secondary school diploma or certificate with credits in:
- Mathematics
- English
- Biology
- And two additional subjects, such as Chemistry, Physics, etc.
Foundational Courses
- Duration: First 2-3 semesters (16 weeks each)
- Focus: Core sciences, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and introductory nursing theory.
Advanced Nursing Courses & Clinical Rotations
- Duration: Semesters 3-8 (16 weeks each)
- Focus: Specialized nursing practice, patient care, pharmacology, community health, and leadership in nursing.
- Clinical Experience: Hands-on practice in affiliated hospitals and healthcare facilities, preparing students for professional licensure and NCLEX eligibility.
